April snow storms bring May..?

Like I said I had another look from STAY and here it is. It snowed in Rexburg (LOL it's April) so why not share a cozy warm outfit? If you guys like companies with a meaning this is one to check out. STAY is all about being yourself all the time. "Stay who you are" you can then attribute that meaning to whatever you would like but for me wearing stuff that has a meaning is much more powerful than putting on whatever because it looks good. Hence my OBSESSION with Alex and Ani. This beanie is definitely comparable to my Neff beanie and its cheaper... soooo like get one!

Gearing up for Spring semester here at BYUI (it better freaking be warmer than it is right now) I've moved apartments, living with new girls, have a new job that is on campus and trying this whole being a responsible adult thing... We will see how that goes. I like to pretend I don't have to be one of those but it keeps biting me in the butt... So hopefully this time it sticks.

Meet Haley xx

I think it was time both you and I met Haley. This girl contacted me back in November about starting a blog. We emailed back and forth for a little bit about some questions she had and then I did a little stalking on social media and was like alright this girl is cool, so I gave her my number and said it would probably be easier to communicate that way (since I knew we were both basically texting via email on our phones anyway). The conversation went from her asking me about blogging to us talking about life. We hit it off so well (LOL it sounds like I'm talking about online dating....) we honestly texted every day. Told each other our frustrations, asked for life advice, etc. We found out that we have a lot in common and we both conveniently live in Idaho, except I'm on the south east side and she is on the south west side. So last weekend I decided to take a trip to Boise to meet this awesome girl in real life that I met through an email.

You know those people that you could swear you were friends in life before Earth, yeah she is one of those. I tell her things before I tell the people I live with (don't get me wrong I absolutely love my roommates) but this girl and I just connected. So when I got to Boise and pulled up to her house it was like we were already super great friends for years. When I got there we hit up some Chick-Fil-A and then went back to her place talked and hit the sack. The next morning we went to breakfast at a place called Griddle. OMG mouthwatering great food. Then we had to go on a photo shoot of course so Haley, her boyfriend Taylor and I headed up to Idaho City--yeah thats a thing--to take pictures. It is a cute little old mining town with old buildings and a cute white church up on a hill. That night we went out to dinner and went and bought rings together--like I said, it's like we had already been friends for years so this was necessary--we went and got personal ice cream went back to her place watched movies, ate our ice cream, and did gel nails! Girls night for sure!!

I had so much fun with her and can't wait until she comes out to visit me in Rexburg--not as exciting as Boise but hopefully I'll get her out here somehow--We already have plans to go on camping trips and all that fun summer stuff. I am so blessed to have met Haley and can't wait for all the fun things we are going to do together. Because in Anthropologie last week Haley answered "yes" when I asked if we were for real going to be friends forever. So this is documentation that that happened haha! If this is all that comes from blogging is the awesome friends I meet then I will be completely content. This has truly been a blessing and I thank all of you for following along with me old followers and new. It truly means the world to me! So be sure to show Haley some love and check out her blog www.haleynicol.com I promise you will not be disappointed.

and here are a couple snapshots from the weekend that I might get in trouble for posting.....

We were getting Starbucks and obviously had to take a selfie. PS guys we get almost the EXACT same drink from Starbucks, like what?

On Sunday we went up to a place in Boise called Table Top Rock.. (I think...?) and you can see all of Boise from up there. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Hot dinner date!! But if you are ever in Boise you HAVE to go to Fork. Their food us unreal, we got a grilled cheese fondue for an appetizer and I basically went to food heaven.

Haley hits the sack early and I am up til at least 2 every night. So this picture was appropriate. Like we're in college Hales live the college life ;) hahaha jk.

A little place I call home + The Homies

So this weekend I flew from Idaho Falls to AZ because one of my best friends is getting MARRIED. What?! It's crazy... But I'm so excited for her and her hubby to be. Vacation is always nice, but as much as I hate to say it, when I leave The Burg I actually miss it... So I have had these pictures for a while (yeah I know the quality is bad x100) but here's a peek into my apartment, which will hopefully be better decorated next semester ;) this week we are adding an extra couch, a decorated Christmas tree (that's right I said it, sue me) and we have added a rug. Maybe I should do some DIY posts..?

All of our nicknames on the chalkboard. Can you guess which one is mine?

We doodle all over our fridge because one we can and two it's A.R.T.

My sister and I's attempt to decorate.

I only put this picture on here because it is a real struggle trying to fit my clothes, I have TWO extra sets of drawers and still not enough room to put it all.... Not to mention my shoe collection has grown since this picture was taken.

Then the main reason (I'm homesick) & that I can call The Burg my home now is because of these 4 girls right here. My sister, and 3 adopted ones. They are my home now, these girls are my family.

Sorry for the sappy post, thanks for reading though! Stay tuned for the outfit that I'm wearing to the wedding!! XOXO

Belated Halloween and Birthday Post

So this last week was a big one. I turned 21 and it was Halloween! Starting off with Halloween all my roomies (minus the little sis) were basic white girls. We went as cats. But we were hot cats, I mean look at us ;) We went to a huge party that was here in Rexburg called Uprising. It was huge. I spent a lot of my time getting pushed around and people watching. After we went to McDonald's with the roomies and some friends and hung out til the wee hours of the morning. Pretty much like every other night. Basically we never sleep, and it's catching up to me.

As for my birthday we went to Texas Roadhouse, I love steak too much. Sat on the saddle, and ate my ice cream. My roommates honestly know me too well and got me an Alex and Ani bracelet that I have been eyeing for months. If you haven't checked them out yet you really should. You will not be disappointed and they just released one of their holiday lines. It is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned this week for some outfit posts. xo

Love this little sister of mine more than pretty much anything.

Best friends since 8th grade. Through thick and thin this girl is always there.

Lux and I were kindred spirits right off the bat. Love her.

Kaity and Chloe are basically the life of the party. They bring out the sass in all of us.

Becca is getting hitched in December! I mean look at her.

APT 1508 all together. These girls have been a major blessing in my life and I don't know what I would do with out them. Roommates by chance, best friends by choice.

Warm, Cozy, & Fuzzy!

So I finally got out to go take some pictures! My guess is I won't be able to post again until finals week is over next week... But we will see. I love Rexburg but I am so ready to be back in Utah for the summer. According to my countdown app I have 7 days 18 hours and 32 minutes until I can leave Rexburg!! I can't wait to be back where I can hang out with all my buddies, you know who you are!<3 My plans for summer? Work, work, work, hit up Southern California and hang out on the beach! I am so excited!! Yet here I am still wearing a sweater, because don't you worry it's still winter here. Loved that April Fools joke of snow Mother Nature. Thank you. Just when you think it's spring here she starts laughing and sends more of that white fluffy stuff! But I found this fuzzy sweater (which I have been wanting since January) at Bohme the other day for only wait for it.... $10. Such a steal!! So comfy, so cute! I love clearance racks, especially when I see something I almost bought for 50 bucks on sale for 10! Bohme always has good finds on their clearance racks! Definitely love that boutique that originated in Utah. Shout out to the women that started it. I will forever be grateful for you!

Throwback Thursday?

I guess I just have a problem with living in the season that it is.. I am always looking to the future.. Since I'm writing this on Thursday I thought I would do a throwback to when I was a little bitty senior in high school! Crazy that it was almost 2 years ago now... Wow how time flies, you can't even blink with out missing something anymore. But it's fun to look back and remember the good times, the friends, and even the 'struggles' you thought you were having. Because anyone that is graduated would probably agree that they would rather deal with the issues that they had in high school than the ones they are dealing with now after being graduated! I know I am definitely one of those people. But here's to the good days, the trials that only make us stronger, and to a summer outfit worn in fall weather.... An outfit that I will definitely be wearing to a country concert this summer. haha hope everyone is having a good week, and have an awesome weekend!!:)

...oh the days of being 18!!...

PS. This dress was a solid find at Target! Seriously love that place!

Bunnies + Life

So I haven't really been able to get out to take pictures for outfits lately, so i'm going to talk about the newest member of my family real quick! :) Is anyone else obsessed with little animals or is it just me? Legit I have a board on my Pinterest called 'Farm Life' it's where I keep a collection of all the animals I someday want to own. My mom will deny this but it all started with her....

She sent me this picture one day and just to say I love you! Such a sweet mamma. But that sparked an idea. I INSTANTLY wanted something cute like this. So I took it to Twitter. I tweeted about how I wanted a bunny, a friend replied and within minutes we had decided we were going to buy a bunny! We did research on breeders, my friend found one and I emailed her. She sent me the following pics!

Umm yeah right then I fell in love! My mom and sister can confirm this because I was jumping up and down, dancing in the kitchen and singing a song about how I was getting a bunny! (by the way my mom is so far from happy about this, but I told her it was happening anyway so I think she gave up on the fight. Plus I just know she is going to love her) Within an hour of receiving these photos I had gone up to Salt Lake to put a deposit down and meet her! My friend and I met there and got to meet our bunny! We are naming her Chewbaca and calling her Chewy for short, cause she looks like a wookie! She has the softest fur and is just so cute!! We are picking her up April 11th when I go home for the summer, and I could not be more excited! Yes this excitement is a real thing, seriously Chewy is one of the top things I have been talking about the last week!

(first pic of chewy and I,  :) Aww I just love her)

Another thing well person that I am super grateful for is my sweetheart of a friend Michelle! She has kept me sane this semester and I am just so thankful for her. Whenever her hubby works we hang out, and even a lot when he doesn't. Third wheeling with married couples is so much better than people who are dating, just in case you were wondering. We have been friends since 8th grade, who would have thought we would end up in Rexburg Idaho together? Pretty sure this is the last place both of us ever planned on being. But we both love it, and make the best of it! Thanks for everything Chelley!! Love you!!:)
