Hats, Boots, and Snow...

Well back at school for a new semester... I really do not like the school thing guys, some people love the whole going to class, learning, doing homework taking tests, or at least tolerate it. I am NOT one of those people. I grind my teeth and bare through it, because it is not for me. However, I absolutely love my 3 other roommates, we have so much fun together so it makes coming to school worth it. Having said that I have an intro to Accounting class this semester and after going on Tuesday I am really excited for it, so maybe that will change my outlook on the whole school thing.

Today's outfit was me putting something together that could keep me warm with a wool coat over top, be able to wear to church or around, and not have to wear heels while walking to church. I must say I think I did a pretty good job. I am loving that burgandy, wine, deep reds are in! I think it is such a classy color and can be paired with many different colors, like neutrals, navy, mustard, and I'm sure many more. Maybe I should branch out of my neutrals and try one of those combos ;)

I love this necklace and wear it all the time. Many people ask me what the 3 is for, there are two answers both of which are true. 1: it is my lucky number. 2: I named it my lucky number when I was probably around 5 years old because I always went to my cousins basketball games and his high school number for basketball and football was 3. My family is really close, and though I don't have any blood related brothers, my cousins have filled that position. So yes, it is a little cheesy and sentimental to me. But hey, that's what makes it more fun to wear.

Goodbye College, Helllloo Thanksgiving!

Today is the last day of school before Thanksgiving Break (not so secretly though, yesterday was my last day because I opt out of my science class quite often) Going to school at BYU-Idaho is a little difficult because you NEVER get breaks, no fall break, no spring break, so Thanksgiving break becomes a big deal! All I can think about is how I am completely going to stuff my face with stuffing!! Take naps, go shopping, take a quick trip home to Utah and not do homework. At all. Ever. School is off limits for me starting tomorrow.

I love this outfit and yes I know it is completely random, mismatched styles, tons of color (which I usually don't do) but I LOVE it. I feel like there is something about it that looks like it is organized chaos. It goes together somehow and I wear it more than I should probably. These combat boots from Forever Young Shoes have become a beloved staple in my closet, I wear them with everything. Not to mention this lacey cardi from Sugar Love Boutique... Usually this would be a spring item that I wouldn't wear during winter... However, I have found many different outfits I can wear it with and it adds a little more elegance to a wintery outfit.

I hope all my fellow readers that are still in school have a great Thanksgiving Break, and to all those that are lucky enough to be done with school I hope you have a great time with your family and friends! Everyone be safe over the holiday!!

White Fluffy Stuff....

It's no secret that it's snowing in Rexburg these days. It means two things... One it's really freaking cold walking to class, and my warm cozy bed wins the battle a lot of the mornings. Two you get to wear cute winter outfits, drink hot chocolate, watch Christmas movies, red cup season at Starbucks, cuddle up on the couch. Okay.... Maybe that was a little bit more than two things....

A while back a boutique opened up in SLC and I was able to attend an event there. It is such a cute store, and the prices are very affordable. The boutique is called Sage (Facebook, Instagram) the boutique is smaller but all of the options are ON POINT. You won't want to miss out on the great pieces she offers.

Combat boots are a must for Fall and Winter. I have only had brown ones for the last couple of years. It was time I got black ones as well. Forever Young Shoes has such a wide variety and doesn't break the bank while you shop. They have locations all around Utah, but also have a website to shop from as well.

Furrrrry Winter + New Hair + Coupon!

It has been a while since I have been able to get out and do a shoot. Today I finally was able to thanks to my Bro Brady for going out and doing a full shoot. Seriously saved my life, thanks to him I have stuff to post again. I should learn how to do the whole tripod remote thing for times like this.

How perfect is this vest and dress paired together? I got the dress from Real Deals in Rexburg and I wasn't entirely sure what to pair it with until my friend Rachel said she had this beauty of a vest that didn't fit her. So it made its trip to Rexburg from Eugene with a little note in the package and let's just say it really made my day, it has pockets... another plus. I love the lace detail, and flowing sleeves on the dress.

But wait there's more, these booties from Bearpaw! They are so cozy and warm, not to mention that they are seriously so comfortable. It doesn't feel like you are even wearing heels. The wool in the shoes make it feel like you are walking on a cloud.

This last weekend I made the drive down to Utah to get my hair done by the extremely talented Emma's Parlour. I needed it done so bad and was terrified to let anyone in Idaho touch it, so when she said she could fit me in you better believe I drove 4 hours to get it done!!
