MONDAY. It's only Monday.... What?! Over the weekend we went to Salmon Idaho and hiked up to some hot springs, it was seriously so beautiful!! Idaho isn't that bad after all. Although we did have to drive 2.5 hours in order to get there. I'm just used to things like that being so close by having to drive that long is a different concept for me. 

Anyway, this top is from Hope Ave. Can I tell you that this store is soooooo cute. I couldn't decide what to buy! I wanted to take the whole store home with me. You need to go check them out, especially my girls in Idaho because we all know there are very few places to shop up here. But Utah girls they have a nice feel and different look than a lot of the stores down there so be sure to stop by one of their stores. They have locations in WA, UT, ID, check the link above for exact locations.

Sometimes, Life Calls for Starbucks

First week of the winter semester is over and I'm starting in to the second. Looking back on the last week it is kind of ridiculous how much has happened! Decisions I wasn't happy about, and ones that I feel completely at peace about. Last night I was together with my roommates and guys from our FHE group, we all had a pretty good heart to heart. After the boys left us girls sat in a circle and talked about the things we are grateful for! Sounds super cheesy, I know. But we all needed this little circle more than anything and more than any of us really knew. Friendships grew last night, hearts were touched, and strength was given. I am so blessed to be surrounded by the people that I am. So although yesterday was rough, and it called for a Starbucks run (which here in Rexburg is more like an hour long affair and not just a 15 minute thing) I am so blessed and truly grateful for all of those in my life. Happy Tuesday!

Hats, Boots, and Snow...

Well back at school for a new semester... I really do not like the school thing guys, some people love the whole going to class, learning, doing homework taking tests, or at least tolerate it. I am NOT one of those people. I grind my teeth and bare through it, because it is not for me. However, I absolutely love my 3 other roommates, we have so much fun together so it makes coming to school worth it. Having said that I have an intro to Accounting class this semester and after going on Tuesday I am really excited for it, so maybe that will change my outlook on the whole school thing. 

Today's outfit was me putting something together that could keep me warm with a wool coat over top, be able to wear to church or around, and not have to wear heels while walking to church. I must say I think I did a pretty good job. I am loving that burgandy, wine, deep reds are in! I think it is such a classy color and can be paired with many different colors, like neutrals, navy, mustard, and I'm sure many more. Maybe I should branch out of my neutrals and try one of those combos ;)

I love this necklace and wear it all the time. Many people ask me what the 3 is for, there are two answers both of which are true. 1: it is my lucky number. 2: I named it my lucky number when I was probably around 5 years old because I always went to my cousins basketball games and his high school number for basketball and football was 3. My family is really close, and though I don't have any blood related brothers, my cousins have filled that position. So yes, it is a little cheesy and sentimental to me. But hey, that's what makes it more fun to wear.

Little Red Dress

Pink Blush has delivered again! This store never ceases to amaze me. Can I just have the whole thing for my wardrobe already? I saw this red dress and I HAD to have it. I liked it because it's a good holiday party dress, but also super cute for all of the winter months as well! The lace detail tops it all off and pulls everything together. This wool coat is a LIFESAVER, walking to class in Rexburg can be pretty freaking cold during the winter but this baby keeps me warm and I still look good going to school (on the days where it isn't too cold that I have no choice but to wear my ski coat) it is a  Michael Kors coat and I got it for a steal last year at Macy's around this time, maybe a little more into January so keep your eyes out for those deals because now that Christmas is over they are gonna start coming :)

Cheers To Christmas Break

CHRISTMAS BREAK IS HERE. Finals are over, homework is (almost) over, apartment is cleaned, the semester is over!! It's been a weird winter here in Rexburg, we haven't really got much snow til recently. Obviously these pics were taken before the snow hit. But good ol' Rexburg didn't forget the wind, always the wind. Never stops. But I still kind of like it here. This outfit is simple but characteristic at the same time. I paired the aztec cardi with a burgandy shirt (freaking love this color, so glad it's in this season) As always wearing my favorite store on my arm Alex and Ani. Honestly I could shop there for hours and still not have enough bracelets. They are an awesome Christmas gift *hint hint* I hope everyone enjoys the Holiday's! Thanks for reading today :)

BLACK FRIDAY 2K14

It's that time of the year again... BLACK FRIDAY shopping. Last year I was working retail for Under Armour, we were open 24hrs the deals were INSANE, the people were CRAZY, there were sweatshirts EVERYWHERE, and I had two 8 hour shifts with a 4 hour break in between. You could say this year I will be chillin at the comfort of my grandparents, eating left overs, and doing shopping online. Having said that next year I'll be right back in with the madness shopping to find the good deals. But I do know of a couple that I will be taking advantage of...

Spontaneity and It's Glory + New Blog Design

Last weekend I checked my Instagram around 1am and saw an invitation to an event in Sugar House Utah for Uptown Cheepskate's grand opening there. I was so excited for the invite, the only draw back... I live in Rexburg Idaho for school right now. I was up chatting with my roommates when I got the invite and well, we decided to pack up and make a quick, and I mean QUICK trip to Utah. We were there for less than 24 hours. Crazy. 

It was so worth it though, I got a couple awesome steals that I am so excited to share with everyone in some upcoming posts. This store is great and I will definitely be returning. Something else so great about it? You can sell the clothes you don't wear anymore and in doing so help someone else find a hidden treasure they may have never had without you. This store is definitely one you need to check out. 

Later that night I was able to go to a beauty event at Nordstrom City Creek. Little do you know that there are products at the City Creek location that in the state of Utah it is the only place you can buy them. It was so fun learning about the new products coming out for fall. All I can say is deep berry lips are HOT HOT HOT this fall. After the event I was able to go to dinner with some of my new found blogger friends, it was so fun and am so blessed to be apart of this blogging community.

On top of all this, check out the new design on the blog. How do you like it? Because I LOVE it. Sydney who writes The Seven Story Blog custom designed it for me. I cannot thank her enough. I seriously love it. She was so nice and easy to work with. So thanks again Sydney!!
