Two Piece Lovin'...

It's kind of ironic because I look at these pictures and think "Yeah, I'm a total city girl." Then I remember that I was bunny huntin' and shootin' shotguns last night... So I guess you could say I love and live the best of both worlds. Because I love the big city shopping, and I am beyond excited to visit NYC this summer, however I love camping, shootin' guns, and anything that goes along with any of that...

I have been looking for a two piece set that I love for MONTHS now and I cam across this one from Pleated Empire, and lets just take a moment of silence for it...................

Like do you see it? The pattern is great, the color is even better, the neckline is on point and the length of the skirt isn't too long nor too short. Not to mention that it fits like a glove without making you look weird in those areas you might feel uncomfortable about, oh... and it feels like you are wearing a cloud. Okay bragging over, just make sure you check them out they have so many cute items, if you aren't about the one piece life they've got you too!!

Gold Accents

MONDAY. It's only Monday.... What?! Over the weekend we went to Salmon Idaho and hiked up to some hot springs, it was seriously so beautiful!! Idaho isn't that bad after all. Although we did have to drive 2.5 hours in order to get there. I'm just used to things like that being so close by having to drive that long is a different concept for me.

Anyway, this top is from Hope Ave. Can I tell you that this store is soooooo cute. I couldn't decide what to buy! I wanted to take the whole store home with me. You need to go check them out, especially my girls in Idaho because we all know there are very few places to shop up here. But Utah girls they have a nice feel and different look than a lot of the stores down there so be sure to stop by one of their stores. They have locations in WA, UT, ID, check the link above for exact locations.

Sometimes life hits harder than you thought possible...

PRE CURSOR: THIS WILL BE A LONG POST...

Sometimes I look at my life and think, what the heck have I accomplished? Why am I 21 and still in college with 3 years left to go? Why do I change my mind like every minute of what I want to do with my life? (ie, I'm not going to hair school anymore and will be finishing college online, but that will be for a different post). Today was freaking rough, emotionally, mentally, physically, you name the emotion I felt it... and as I'm sure you know being a roller coaster is not something that people enjoy and look forward to...

Even though today was so hard and I am beyond relieved that it is over, I realized something today. I realized that even though life sucks, life is beautiful. Even though there are sucky people in your life there are ones that are beyond amazing. Even though we feel extremely low at times those moments are matched with extreme happiness. Life is BEAUTIFUL, and nothing that is worth it is easy. The best things in life are the ones that you struggle through because at the end of it you can look back and say "yeah, I beat the shit out of that and became a better person because of it." We get to have sucky days, weeks, months, maybe years so we can realize how freaking awesome we are as human beings. If we didn't have the struggle, what would the reward be?

I have been so blessed these last couple of months to build relationships with extremely amazing people. People that I can call and cry about stupid things to, and that will listen to me and genuinely express concern for my irrational emotions. People that will sit around a kitchen counter with me and say "don't give up, it'll be hard, but you gotta try before you run the other direction." People that have been by my side the last two extremely hard years and still are willing to listen to me on the phone and make me feel like I'm important, even when they are having a hard time themselves.

The company I am featuring on my blog today has a very special place in my heart. This isn't just a clothing line, it's a way of life. STAY. The whole idea behind this company is to stay who you are, be yourself, you do you and let them do them. There are a couple of different sayings printed on the shirts, but I chose Stay Free because sometimes I get so worried about who I am going to disappoint, where I am going to be next, what is going to happen a year from now etc. I think it is important to let loose and just be what you want to be. They also have other great clothes (I will be posting another look in a couple of days). But be sure to check them out and follow them on instagram @staywearclothing

Life is hard but life is beautiful.

New Year // New Me

Well it's New Years Eve everyone, a time of the year where we reflect on the things of the current year and set goals and hope for the next one to come. So this post is gonna be about just that.

Top ten highlights of 2014:
1. Finally got my butt in to gear and went to college like a big girl
2. Started this little blog
3. Got back in to the dance studio after 5 years
4. Turned 21 (that's right this girl is legal now, not that it really matters LOL)
5. Met my roommates fall semester that will be lifelong friends
6. One of the bestie's got married and I got to go to AZ for the wedding
7. Saw Blake Shelton live in concert and almost died of fan girl excitement
8. Went on a cruise with the best family anyone could ask for
9. Rediscovered my faith
10. Found out a little bit more of who I AM

Ten goals for 2015:
1. Be more selfless
2. Become more outgoing and meet more people
3. Get better grades (A LOT better grades HA)
4. Be better at posting on this baby more
5. Put lyrics I wrote to music and record the song
6. Eat healthier, be better at working out
7. Dance more
8. Worry less
9. Start eating breakfast at least 3 times a week
10. Be a little more spontaneous

My sister and I were able to come to St. George and spend a little time with our family down here. It is always so good to see the people that truly love and care for you. It is nice to have cousins you can call brothers and sisters and when you are having a tough time call them up one day and say "hey can I come crash at your house" and without hesitation they let you in. So thanks STG fam. Love you.

Little Red Dress

Pink Blush has delivered again! This store never ceases to amaze me. Can I just have the whole thing for my wardrobe already? I saw this red dress and I HAD to have it. I liked it because it's a good holiday party dress, but also super cute for all of the winter months as well! The lace detail tops it all off and pulls everything together. This wool coat is a LIFESAVER, walking to class in Rexburg can be pretty freaking cold during the winter but this baby keeps me warm and I still look good going to school (on the days where it isn't too cold that I have no choice but to wear my ski coat) it is a  Michael Kors coat and I got it for a steal last year at Macy's around this time, maybe a little more into January so keep your eyes out for those deals because now that Christmas is over they are gonna start coming :)

PS. I got Lightroom for Christmas, so bare with me and my photos while I learn my way around it.

Cheers To Christmas Break

CHRISTMAS BREAK IS HERE. Finals are over, homework is (almost) over, apartment is cleaned, the semester is over!! It's been a weird winter here in Rexburg, we haven't really got much snow til recently. Obviously these pics were taken before the snow hit. But good ol' Rexburg didn't forget the wind, always the wind. Never stops. But I still kind of like it here. This outfit is simple but characteristic at the same time. I paired the aztec cardi with a burgandy shirt (freaking love this color, so glad it's in this season) As always wearing my favorite store on my arm Alex and Ani. Honestly I could shop there for hours and still not have enough bracelets. They are an awesome Christmas gift *hint hint* I hope everyone enjoys the Holiday's! Thanks for reading today :)

Uptown Cheapskate Giveaway!!

kimono, ombre, alex and ani

So I got most of this outfit from Uptown Cheapskate in Sugar house. They had such a fun event and I had the opportunity to attend it {you can read that post here}... I want to share the love of the store and give you an opportunity to win a gift card to their store...

They are a great store, you can buy clothes and sell them the ones that you don't really wear anymore (I sold them two full garbage bags of clothes) They are so nice and fun to shop with, they help you out and start bins for your fitting room so you do not have to carry around all the cute finds that you are definitely going to find. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Okay, is anyone else going crazy because of finals week? I am stressin' about my grades that have slowly rolled down a mountain, have picked up speed and started to plummet within the last couple weeks. Trying to get them up is like trying to teach a 40 year old dog a new trick... Basically impossible. Okay school rant over! Be sure to scroll down, click the link, enter the giveaway and have an awesome weekend!
