Insomnia Is Real

What happens when you can't sleep at night? I for one blog. Here I sit on the floor of a bathroom at a hotel in St. George, so I don't wake up the friends I'm here with. The wifi is super slow so it is taking a while to do this post. This outfit is pretty simple. But I love this shirt!! My sister brought it back from Paris for me. The sleeves are sheer so you can wear this in the summer without getting too hot. Perfect for a baseball game right? Plus, it's from Paris. Too bad I wasn't with here in Paris when she got it, maybe we will have to take a special trip to Europe and go shopping Shelby! ;)

Blessed

So I have a lot to say today.... and today is my first day back at work since I have been home from school. I'm pumped. Honestly I LOVE working at Under Armour. Drawback? My shift starts at 6 am... So if you are reading this after 10 (which is when I get off) I will probably be back in bed sleeping, since I'm typing this post at 1:30 in the morning... What am I still doing up?

Can I just say how grateful I am for the wonderful people in my life? My awesome friends, whose places I can just show up at, and forget the worries of life while they make me die from laughing so hard. My girls that keep me sane and send me hilarious snapchats and make my day better with simple text messages. My mom and little sister, who through thick and thing have, and will always be there. My beautiful auntie who sends me, my sister, and cousin texts saying we are like daughters to her following with a quote that says "To my daughter: If I could give you one thing, it would be to see yourself through my eyes; then you'd see how amazing you really are." My other  two wonderful Aunties whom I consider my other mom's as well, and the support they give me, my sister, and my mom. Not to mention my cousins who are truly more like siblings to me *Moss cousins or die* (you boys know who you are cause I never let you forget that I'm your little sister not your cousin, all the other boys, and the one whom I grew up fighting with on trips to California and made sit in the middle ;) miss KKL, and my other one that can't read this because she's on a misision, shout out to Georgia) My killer Grandma and Grandpa Moss! Go to Idaho for a weekend and you'll be fat off of grama's mean cookin yet not regret a bite, and high off of grampa's slightly exaggerated stories. Oh and can't forget grama stealin everyone's money in a mean game of Tripoley either! Not to mention all of those cousins who have married into the family, who.. whether you like it or not get to be considered my siblings too :)

Sorry for the reflection and rambling/bragging of my family and friends, but sometimes we need to look on our lives and realize how truly blessed we really are. I for one am blessed because I have a job, I have solid friendships, and my family through thick and thin are clearly the most solid people around. So a special thanks to my Gma and Gpa Moss for raising all of us to be so close, and to know what and who is truly important in life.

Bright and cheery post for a bright and cheery outfit!!!

Yes Sperry has wedges and they are so bomb comfy! I got these ones at Nordstrom. The rest of this outfit is old, but similar pieces like this are sold at boutiques everywhere, probably easy finds at H&M and Forever 21. Simple, easy, fun!!

Spring & Snow....

First off I want to thank my beautiful friend Rachel for taking these pics for me. She has officially made me want to go blow 500 dollars so I can get a camera like hers. But it was so fun going and doing a shoot with her. Little does she know she may get sick of me calling her to go and take more.... :)

So today I woke up and checked all my social media as usual to find out it was snowing, at the end of April.. What? Thank you Utah for being bipolar when it comes to weather. So I looked outside and sure enough little flurries coming down from above... *insert eye rolling emoji here* On a happier note I finally got the white chucks I have been dying to have all year! Yay!! This dress is seriously so comfy, it's like I'm basically wearing a nightgown! Love it.

The Name

Words of positivity and where the name of the blog came from! I put off starting a blog for almost a year because I couldn't come up with a name for it.. Seriously the struggle is real. I would say it is one of the most difficult things when wanting to start a blog.

I was browsing Pinterest like all of us girls do, and I came across this quote. I LOVED it because of how true it is. I feel like all girls in life go through that struggle of learning to be confident in themselves. I know I have. We have things going on at home that we are trying to deal with, learning how to fit in socially, and trying to find out who we are, all at once. That's a lot of stress for young girls to deal with. So I feel like we may start to speak out about how we don't like ourselves, how we think we need to lose weight or why we don't like this or that about us. That's where the insecurities start to speak out, yet it gives a slight refreshing moment when one of your friends say "oh stop it, that's not true." So we continue to do it... So we can feel just a little better.

It was when I saw this quote I realized that saying things out loud don't make those things better, they don't just go away, some things we can change with hard work but some things just aren't going to go away. In reality what is saying something out loud going to change about that? I decided after seeing this quote that I was going to be confident in what I had and fix the things I didn't like if I had the power to do so. Then it hit me, why not make this the name of my blog? A girl that has struggled with confidence in the past, turning those things into something positive and then maybe help other people realize their self worth, or just brighten someone's day.

I also wanted to be able to come out of my shell a little more and gain that confidence that we all want to have. I will be honest I feel so dumb going out and taking pictures. I definitely do not know how to pose for a picture, and I look so dumb in most of the ones I take. But it's a learning process and I'm loving doing it. So hopefully through finding and building my confidence I can help others find theirs too! Thanks for reading, I hope you guys have an awesome Wednesday :)
